Mac Slater, Coolhunter 2 Soundtrack Now Online!

For every book I write I make up an itunes playlist and listen to that 'soundtrack' over and over again as I write.

This 'soundtrack' is made up of the songs that I listened to while writing I ♥ NY. It totally captures the energy of the book and the cool of New York. It's published as an itunes imix so you can listen to snippets of songs that inspired the writing.

Win a Nintendo DS at

The competition to celebrate the launch of my new book, Mac Slater, Coolhunter 2: I ♥ NY has just been announced.

Go to, click 'Win' in the menu on the left-hand-side of the page and be in with a shot at winning a brand new DS.

As if I'm not entering.

Oh. Just emailed someone. They say I'm not allowed.

How much do I wish that someone else wrote the book?

Mac Slater Coolhunter 2 Hits Australian Bookstores

My new book, Mac Slater, Coolhunter 2: I ♥ NY hits Australian bookstores today. It's a rapid-fire read full of wild inventions and fast-paced action. And it's inspired by my obsession with New York.

You can see the video book trailer by clicking here, win a Nintendo DS here and subscribe to all the news on the book right here on this page.

Thanks to everyone who helped spread the word on the first book. Thousands of schools, libraries and kids have bought it and it comes out in the U.S. in September this year.

If you know of any teachers, bookstore owners, librarians or parents with kids I’d love it if you could steer them to the site! or
