Camp Quality Ambassador!

I’m really proud to say that I was recently asked to become an ambassador for Camp Quality, the charity that puts a smile on the faces of young people affected by cancer throughout Australia and the world.

They believe in Fun Therapy, which is something I’m a big believer in, too. I’ll be visiting some camps and hopefully encouraging lots of creativity and imaginative storytelling. (I also have this secret hope that there might be flying foxes or go-karts involved.)

You can read my interview at the Camp Quality website here. Thanks CQ for all the good work that you do and here’s hoping that I can help you create Big Happiness.

    Hey Tristan,

Been catching up on your blog (I recently discovered), and loved your Diary of a Novel. I am writing my first YA novel at present – trudging along days and flying through others.

I am a nurse and spent many years nursing kids with cancer, including a nine year stint in Saudi. Cancer is cancer no matter where you are – but then again so is Hope. Camp Quality is such an awesome organisation. I have seen the tangible results of what they do for the kids. I think where you find fun and laughter, you will always find hope as well. I’m sure there will be flying foxes and go-karts – just as there will be laughter and hope. You will do them proud and they will teach you more than you can imagine.

Enjoy the journey -I always found it a huge privilege knowing these kids and being part of their wonderful lives.I’m sure you will, too.

    Cheers,

    Lynn
