Sometimes writing books is boring. I know it’s hard to believe. But the nature of writing a book means spending extraordinarily long periods of time sitting down in front of a screen typing. And staring out a window. And checking email. And going to the fridge. And eating chocolate. And drinking coffee. Anything to propel you through the day.
There is now research that says that sitting down all day is slowly killing us. But there is a solution. Every now and then I go on a writing safari. I grab notepad and laptop and hit the cafes and beaches – writing, walking, writing, running, writing, swimming, writing, eating berry muffins. I don’t think it’s any less productive than sitting at the desk and it may keep me alive.
Here’s today’s writing safari in pictures… Hope it inspires you to get out of the chair and go see the world.

Noice! Any day spent at the beach is not subtracted from your net days alive.
I love that idea. I wonder what I should do with the extra day I have up my sleeve. Beach, perhaps? … Eternal life.
Love your work!
