The Byron Bay launch of My Life & Other Stuff That Went Wrong was a bunch of fun. I co-presented with Raph Atkins, 13 y.o. writer of ‘Morris’, a short story included in the book.
We kicked off with disgusting My Life-inspired snacks.

Best to get the kids jacked up on sugar before any good book launch. |

Before the launch I ran a workshop for young writers through the Northern Rivers Writers Centre – Your Life & Other Stuff You Made Up. |

I told some tales about Raph stalking me until I gave up and agreed to put the story about his rotten sausage dog in my book. |

Raph gave a masterclass in drawing Morris the Sausage Dog. |

Raph’s mum, Claire Atkins, was the mastermind behind the amazing illustrated decorations. Also, chief scab chef. |
Big thanks to Sarah Ma and the Northern Rivers Writers Centre for supporting the workshop and launch.
Well, that just looks like the best book launch ever! Love the green milkshakes (pure genius just quietly). Wish I coul've been there for all the fun mate. See you soon. Best, Gus
Thanks Gusto. The only thing that could've made it better would have been having you in the house. See you in a couple of weeks for the Bris launch. 🙂 T
