‘A fun adventure with a couple of lovable klutzes, an annoying girl and only one winner. This book is a winner and sure to be a big hit with young people 10 and up.’
My Mac Slater action-adventure series has been re-jacketed and is re-released on 1 March! Mac Slater, Coolhunter was my first book in book stores and it’s fun to see it re-booted. Very different to Two Wolves, probably a bit more My Life, with tons of action, humour and wild inventions.
Mac Slater Coolhunter (Book one)
Mac Slater has just crashed the latest prototype of the flying bike he and his best friend Paul invented. Even worse, practically the whole school witnessed it.
So when the creators of massive global webspace Coolhunters offer Mac the chance to compete for a job hunting cool, Mac thinks they’re crazy. I mean, Mac lives in a small town and he doesn’t have a TV, let alone a mobile. But Tony and Speed say he’s so uncool he’s cool.
If Mac wants to win, he has one week to prove he has what it takes. And it turns out that finding the next big thing isn’t easy – especially when he’s pitted against Cat DeVrees, the most popular girl in school.
Does Mac really know what cool is? Or will he crash and burn?

Mac Slater Imaginator (Book Two)
Mac Slater has discovered what he thinks is the coolest thing in New York City. Maybe even the world. But he’s not allowed to tell a soul.
Imagine being offered an all-expenses-paid trip to New York City! It seemed like an impossible dream for Mac and his best friend, Paul. But they’ve just become coolhunters for a massively popular webspace and Mac is beyond excited. The catch: he has to find the Next Big Thing in NYC – or be sent home. Mac soon makes friends with Melody, an inventor with super-cool skates, who takes him to The Hive. It’s an old boatshed where innovative kids are creating transport, sneakers and computer apps that are way more cutting edge than anything you can buy. And the Hive kids are about to test an invention that could change the world.
Mac’s boss at Coolhunters is desperate for him to spill the beans, but Melody has sworn Mac to secrecy. He’s found the coolest thing in NYC and he’s not allowed to tell a soul!
Friends or fame. Which would you choose?
