Inspiring children to write, or adults to write, can be tricky. Walking and writing outdoors is key to creativity, for me at least. Stories seem to flow more easily once I feel the air on my skin, the sand between my toes. It no longer feels like work. So, I joined forces with Byron Writers Festival’s amazing StoryBoard program and took a bunch of young writers on a Writing Safari along the beach in Byron Bay. Here are some pics.
Remember, if you’re stuck, get outside. Walk, swim, ride. Works like magic.
