Two Wolves Audiobook

Two Wolves audiobook

I recently recorded the audiobook of my crime / mystery novel for middle-graders, Two Wolves (CBCA Honour Book, shortlisted Prime Minister’s Literary Awards) and it’s just been released.

The audiobook and a free sample chapter is available here on Audible: https://www.audible.com.au/pd/Children/Two-Wolves-Audiobook/B07BNNX2NM or you can have a Bolinda audio CD delivered.

You can read free chapters, listen to the soundtrack and learn about how the book was written here.

And below is a free bonus chapter. It’s one of my favourite chapters from the book, one I’ve read many times when travelling around to festivals, schools and libraries. I hope you enjoy it. If you do, I’d love you to give it a thumbs-up on YouTube.

Hi, Can you please answer the following questions for our Staff Members teaching English.
I would like to purchase and use a digital file audiobook for the year 8 text ‘Two Wolves’ which is available on iTunes.
My question is, how do I go about giving students access? I’ve had a little look at the iTunes site about school use but couldn’t make much sense of it (but I didn’t spend too much time tracking info either):

We’d also be looking to make this available for some/most/all year 8s, each year, at all times of the year – if we could factor that in too?

Can this audio book be downloaded onto our College’s server and used yearly?

    Thank you Karin.

I’ll ask my publisher and get back to you, Karin.

      Shouldn’t be too long.

      Tristan.

      Hi Karin

Thanks for your query re: Two Wolves audiobooks on my site. I’ve asked my publisher at Penguin and she said the following. I hope July’s not too late for you!

      Best,

      Tristan.

“We’re very close to having the physical audiobooks available through Bolinda. At this stage, we think the CDs should be available as of July, and the school will be able to purchase or borrow the CD from then. We’ll keep you posted.”

We are having the same challenge. While it is possible to purchase the audibooks from Bolinda, they are not able to provide a school licence for this book that allows for copying up to a set limit for use for students who are unable to rely on printed word books. It would be wonderful if there was a school licence agreement available for this book.

I am looking into this with Penguin, Sue. Thanks very much for pointing it out. I’ll reply again here or drop you an email.

      Best,

      Tristan.

      Hi Sue

This is the official word from Penguin Random House Australia below. Rather than a licencing situation, I believe that purchasing the number of copies required is the best option at this point… I hope the below suggestion helps.

‘The best answer is that the schools can borrow copies via BorrowBox for digital, or stock the Bolinda CD in physical form for their students.’
