Need reading inspiration? A tip on your next great book? Want to gamify your reading? State Library of QLD’s Summer Reading Club is a great way to keep you reading through the summer. Forty reading challenges to attack reading from all sides, find new books, upload images, chat and connect with other young readers while earning badges along the way.
The State Library has challenged me to complete 20 challenges before the end of the summer and I’m about half-way through. You can see my video review of the best middle-grade book I’ve read in a while here and you can get some tips on finding a quiet place to hide away and read here.
Good luck with your reading. You can connect with me on the Reading Club site or on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook etc to let me know how you (or your kids) are doing on their summer reading. 😉 Good luck. Dare you to try to get 20 badges before I do.
P.S. Here’s a post from a few years ago when I shared ten of my favourite middle-grade reads.
