From May to August 2024, an online project, ANZ StorySchool, is being offered to teaching teams, aimed at exploring how Apple technologies can enhance students’ communication skills.
This program includes strategies for integrating technology in literacy sessions, participation in a ‘Community of Practice’ with one-to-one iPad schools in Australia and New Zealand, support for educators in Year 3-6 literacy classrooms, and a hybrid program featuring on-demand resources and virtual sessions for up to three staff members.
Students can attend online workshops with me, as well as iPad workshops.
The benefits for schools encompass collaboration with me, access to my online Young Writers’ StorySchool writing workshop for up to three teachers, iPad literacy support materials, reflection on teacher impact with Dr. Chris Blundell from Queensland University of Technology, and active involvement in a Community of Practice.
The project aligns with curriculum elements related to communication, text interpretation, composition, and presentation, with a focus on adaptable narrative strategies for different genres. Expressions of interest can be submitted by 10 February, with additional information to follow.
