Young Writers’ StorySchool

Tristan Bancks Young Writers StorySchool

Young Writers’ StorySchool is a video online writing masterclass for kids age 10-14. A bestselling author guiding you through the creative process of storytelling. [Watch the one-minute trailer.]

StorySchool is 24×3-minute videos with activity sheets and teachers’ notes to supercharge the writing process in the classroom or, for keen writers, at home. Each video covers an aspect of the writing process, shows how author Tristan Bancks does it, using pictures, video, music, maps and other tools to bring the process to life, and then sets a challenge for the writer. It is a system for encouraging more authentic, personal and detailed writing that young people care about and teachers love to read.

The StorySchool method is an active, outdoor, visual, aural, tech-infused writing adventure. It teaches vital skills of creativity, communication and storytelling for 21st century leadership. It’s about seeing, hearing and feeling a piece of writing, making it personal. It’s an approach proven by Tristan in the writing of his award-winning books and by the tens of thousands of young writers and filmmakers who have taken his workshops since 2005.
